Apologies if it's a duplicate. It would be really useful if bulkmarcimport.pl was able to overlay records already in the database according to record matching rules like Stage MARC Records for Import can. The BIB-1 attribute set semantics document recommends indexing the 033 field in attribute 30, which the Koha configuration currently calls "copydate," and does not use. We would like it to be possible to link/search for items in particular issues. Although part of this is simply a matter of changing our Frameworks, additional work would also be required on the XSLT stylesheets, and Zebra indexing. For example, we would like to be search for all items in volume 7, number 7 of the Celator magazine by clicking on a link in our catalog: In: Celator, Vol. 7, no. 7 (July 1993), p. 48-51 Since the $g (related parts) is uncontrolled, for display purposes, simply searching on full text is not sufficient (for English-language materials, the abbreviation used for issue is 'no.' for Russian 'vyp.' etc...). This could also be used to link to an OpenURL resolver, something which does not really work with unparsed enumerations. MARBI recommendation 2003-DP01 offers five suggestions for handling more finely-grained linking of analytic records. The term "circulation" is broad enough to encompass checkouts, fines, and holds. - Better define and delineate the sub-sections on the page: - Default checkout and hold policy - Checkout limit by patron category - Holds policy by item type - Repeat the current library name, when selected, for clarity: "Default checkout and hold policy for Athens" rather than "Default checkout and hold policy for this library" - Use the phrase "all libraries" when no library is selected. "Default library" seems ambiguous. We see this in our production installations (3.01.00.061) and our test installation from HEAD (3.01.00.117 patched from 3.01.00.061) The text strings seem to be not in current .po files. I searched Pootle (French and German) without success.
