After symlinking the koha-httpd.conf file to the apache/sites-enabled I have to add directory access for /usr/local/koha/opac/htdocs and /usr/local/koha/intranet/htdocs. This is not in the install file for ubuntu and it seems like it is a bug. the complete fix for me was to add: <Directory "/usr/local/koha/opac/htdocs"> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None Order allow,deny Allow from all </Directory> to the Virtualhost on *:80 and to add: <Directory "/usr/local/koha/intranet/htdocs"> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None Order allow,deny Allow from all </Directory> to the virtual host on *:8080 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA Contact for the bug.

Rather it is pre-populated with the previously used barcode which causes additem.pl to return a duplicate barcode error if the cataloger does not catch the mistake. The problem is caused by the fact that the current item record is simply duplicated and re-loaded into the form. The solution is to add code which either pre-populates with the next barcode number if the incremental pattern is set or clears the p subfield if one of the various patterns using the javascript plugin is selected. In UNIMARC this field is mapped to 995$j called Inventory number: ('995', 'j', 'Inventory number', 'Inventory number', 0, 0, 'items.stocknumber ', 10, '', '', '', 0, 0, '', '', '', NULL), In Germany we also use inventory numbers/accession numbers. Those are attached on item level, not on biblio level and very important to the library. In the past I have used a mapping from 952$i to more_subfields_xml. This made it hard to query the inventory number and it was not displayed in a lot of places in staff and opac. I would like to add a permanent mapping from 952$i to items.stocknumber in the bibliographic frameworks and add a search index for it to zebra. This would also help to make sure the field is not used for another new feature. What does it say of the value of $x if not $y? Is someone maintaining the code liable to make unwarrantable assumptions about the definedness or value of $x. ( the use of postfix if is also a problem as in reading actual code it is often easy to miss that an assignment is in a conditional because the postfix if has disappeared off the right of your screen. Postfix ifs give a reader very little visual clue that a conditional is occurring.
