The reason is because it is not passing the contents of the requisite field but of an undefined value because the hash key is incorrect. After symlinking the koha-httpd.conf file to the apache/sites-enabled I have to add directory access for /usr/local/koha/opac/htdocs and /usr/local/koha/intranet/htdocs. This causes the following warnings to appear when running "make test" in Koha installation, for several tests: t/Heading.t ......................... "my" variable $sth masks earlier declaration in same scope at kohaclone/blib/PERL_MODULE_DIR/C4/Accounts.pm line 172. "my" variable $sth masks earlier declaration in same scope at kohaclone/blib/PERL_MODULE_DIR/C4/Accounts.pm line 188. [...] t/ILSDI_Services.t .................. "my" variable $sth masks earlier declaration in same scope at kohaclone/blib/PERL_MODULE_DIR/C4/Accounts.pm line 172. "my" variable $sth masks earlier declaration in same scope at kohaclone/blib/PERL_MODULE_DIR/C4/Accounts.pm line 188. [...etc...] Therefore, I'm removing the "my" keyword from the declarations of "$sth" in lines 172 and 188 of "Accounts.pm". Rather it is pre-populated with the previously used barcode which causes additem.pl to return a duplicate barcode error if the cataloger does not catch the mistake. The problem is caused by the fact that the current item record is simply duplicated and re-loaded into the form. The solution is to add code which either pre-populates with the next barcode number if the incremental pattern is set or clears the p subfield if one of the various patterns using the javascript plugin is selected.
