One of our libraries reported this a problem to us, where they could not return an item marked as withdrawn, so I would assume they consider this behavior to be a bug. Specifying a pretty icon is as simple as this: <link rel="apple-touch-icon" href="/custom_icon.png"/> And of course we have to add the actual icon. Despite the name, this is supposed to work for e.g. Android-based devices, not just Apple devices. It might be a good idea to have one icon for the OPAC and one for the intranet, like we do with the favicons. It appears that is not the case. Fines for the item being late remain on the patron's account. What seems to be happening is this: * Item is checked in, and flagged as needing to go in transit from A to B. * Item is immediately flagged as shelving cart, though.
