This button is displaying in every view except the MARC view. Best guess at an explanation : To display this button we check for the presence of items that are available for loan. This check used to be done on the appropriate 995 subfield in this view. Which doesn't work anymore since we don't manage items in the marcxml any longer. Tested on a recently imported biblio on my local install, the place hold button doesn't display, but on a biblio that was imported when items where still managed in the marcxml (which has 995 in the marcxml) the button displays properly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. The line in question is part of GetNormalizedUPC: @fields = $record->field('024'); Called by VirtualShelves/Page.pm: $this_item->{'normalized_upc'} = GetNormalizedUPC($record,$marcflavour); Seems like there's several things that can be done here: 1. Remove titles from lists when they are deleted. The disadvantage here is that someone might have been using a list as a bibliography, for instance, and losing the title makes their information incomplete. To follow up: 2. Add error handling to VirtualShelves/Page.pm. Don't try to pull the full MARC data for a biblionumber which doesn't exist. Some choices for the display: a. Pretend nothing happened, title never existed b. Indicate that a title was removed, no information available. c. Indicate that a title was removed, pull basic info from deletedbiblio. 3. Add error handling to Koha.pm. Don't die if an empty record gets passed. It result in all packages being loaded (& compiled) on each page. This bugzilla entry will contain the work to remove as much as possible the dependancies That will be achieved through : * removing use C4::otherpackage and using require C4::otherpackage in the subs that need C4::otherpackage. Require is loaded at run time only. Most of the time, the C4::otherpackage is loaded everytime, just to be used once, in one sub (that is rarely used) * removing useless subs that use a C4::otherpackage::sub, because there are some Cleaning for each package will result in a patch, with a lot of comments/details/feedback. Right now, the only way to extra this information is to process the MARC record, which involves costly XML processing. It would be better to stash the subtitle in the biblio table, so it can be accessed just with SQL. Necessary changes: Installation: add subtitle to biblio table, after title and before uniform title add the appropriate mappings to MARC21, UNIMARC and NORMARC frameworks. The relator code is shown is right behind the main heading. Example: "Bretzner, Christoph Friedrich[aut]" I think an additional space between the term an the code would be good. I am also worried about displaying this information in the OPAC. The codes are not easy to resolve and the patrons might get confused by it. The reason is uninitialized or wrong value and generally logical mistakes in line block: 115 - 123 in module placerequest.pl In line 115: if ($input->param('request') eq 'any'){ parameter is compared to string 'any' whereas should be 'Any'. The other wrong thing is lack of value when the parameter hasn't value 'Any'. Due to this reasons always is realized only one line of code updating the reservation table (what is right): AddReserve($branch,$borrower->{'borrowernumber'},$biblionumber,'a',\@realbi,$rank[0],$startdate,$expirationdate,$notes,$title,$checkitem, $found); regardles the reservation is done on a first available or a given item.
