Assuming that over a raw socket connection login will be the first message. Standard states that whether login or another mechanism is used is optional. (It is configurable on 3M units and most others). (If used login should be first but it can be spoofed in our implementation anyway) Use of login should be a configurable option. Simply because koha-run-backups call koha-dump which always dump to backupdir in Koha config file. This means that things like zebra and other cron jobs don't work. One solution would be to change (hack) the fine amount and grace and... to allow for fraction. An easier solution is simply to add "minutes" as a unit. Code change was very simple, but the Calendar and Holiday mechanisms have changed since, so I'll see how to do it all cute again. ALSO: One area of discussion with the user was about the meaning of a 24h loan. Unit=Hours, Period=24. If the library is opened only 10h per day, this is not a 3 day rental.
