In this case the branchcode used in the suggestions table is _ANY_. I think this creates a few problem. I think one will be that we can't create a FK constraint on the branchcode for the suggestions table. Instead it uses bespoke code that does not behave like the traditional search and is very limited in how it can search. If, for example, I search for "hall, k" in the standard search, I would get "Kyle Hall" back as a result. For the autocomplete search, I will not. It was reported as a problem for a link to an e-book in the EBSCO Ebooks database. When you click on the link, it eventually resolves to the search interface of another one of our EBSCO databases (Alt HealthWatch). Could this be a proxy issue? The reporter is using EZProxy. It didn't seem to affect URLs connection to e-books for ebrary, Taylor & Francis, or Oxford.
