When you click a series link in the staff client it does a search for the series author only 800a - instead of the series as it implies. It needs the `description` column to provide a true value, and that's really the only purpose I see within C4::Auth. The first item we deleted showed the wrong behaviour, after that we were not able to reproduce it agan.
