Agreed, I even found the modal annoying so have removed it in favor of a dialog when adding multiple. Please test and let me know if this seems better. [Bug 9701] Configure default indicator
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 06 Jun '16

06 Jun '16

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=9701 --- Comment #5 from joachim.ganseman(a)ehb.be --- Created attachment 52082 --> https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/attachment.cgi?id=52082&action=ed… With this second patch, bug 9701 is entirely fixed. The default values are also loaded in the cataloguing form. The database update is now done according to the database update workflow. Previous changes to files that ought not to have changed, done in th Test: Define default values in some MARC framework. Go to cataloguing and create a new record using this framework. Verify that the defined defaults are visible when set. Verify the default is empty (as before) if no default was set. Verify that if the default is changed, the record is saved with the manually changed value. Verify that upon changing such a new record, the manually set indicator value is used and not the default one from the framework. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 14874] Add ability to search for patrons by date of birth from checkout and patron quick searches

So it could work for the patron results returned by the "check out" tab but in this case, why not adding a new dob column to the table? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 14874] Add ability to search for patrons by date of birth from checkout and patron quick searches
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 06 Jun '16

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=14874 --- Comment #14 from Nick Clemens <nick(a)bywatersolutions.com> --- (In reply to Jonathan Druart from comment #13) > Could you detail the use case? > I am wondering if this behavior is not too arbitrary: Why date of birth and > not another date field? > There is a "Date of birth" option in the field list, so it's possible to > search by dob. The use case for the sponsors is in differentiating patrons with multiple names. So if they look up 'John Doe' and get 4 results they can quickly do 'John Doe 1984-01-01' to get the correct patron without having to change to the patron search screen -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I am wondering if this behavior is not too arbitrary: Why date of birth and not another date field? There is a "Date of birth" option in the field list, so it's possible to search by dob. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
