[Bug 20565] New: Clearer documentation of date, branches, itemtypes and categorycode parameters in 'Create report from SQL' help page.
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 06 Oct '18

06 Oct '18

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=20565 Bug ID: 20565 Summary: Clearer documentation of date, branches, itemtypes and categorycode parameters in 'Create report from SQL' help page. Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Documentation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: barton(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org I write a lot of reports, and I can never remember whether to use <<foo|branches>> or <<foo|branchcode>> for instance. These *are* documented in the help page, but it would be helpful if they were in a tabular form, e.g. +-----------------+--------------------------------------------------+-----------------------------+ | parameter | what user sees | what gets inserted in query | +-----------------+--------------------------------------------------+-----------------------------+ | date | date picker | validly formatted date | | branches | drop down of branch names | branch code | | itemtypes | drop down of item type names | item type | | categorycode | drop down of patron category descriptions | borrower ctegory code | | (anything else) | drop down of auth-value descriptions in category | authorized value | +-----------------+--------------------------------------------------+-----------------------------+ This would be easier to find on the help page. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 10382] collection not returning to null when removed from course reserves
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 05 Oct '18

05 Oct '18

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=10382 --- Comment #74 from Christopher Brannon <cbrannon(a)cdalibrary.org> --- It should be returned to the exact state it was originally. It should not be modified in any way by this module when inactive. If it was null before, is should be returned to null. If it was a blank entry, it should be returned to a blank entry. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=10382 --- Comment #73 from Katrin Fischer <katrin.fischer(a)bsz-bw.de> --- I don't think we should have empty entries in collections in locations. They will appear doubled up in lots of places. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=10382 --- Comment #72 from Nick Clemens <nick(a)bywatersolutions.com> --- (In reply to Marcel de Rooy from comment #70) > @RM: > > Passed QA but a bit 'reluctant or restrained'? > This patch set improves things but imo this area needs more attention. > See comment58 and the earlier comments/discussion. Scenario: 1 - Define a new authorised value for CCODE with authorised value "" and description "Blank space" 2 - Create two (or more) items on a bib record, neither with ccode defined 3 - Add one of those items to an enabled course 4 - Disable the course 5 - View the record 6 - One item has no collection, the other has 'Blank space' Do we think this is okay? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
