https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=8437 --- Comment #31 from David Cook <dcook(a)prosentient.com.au> --- Based on my analysis on Bug 26128, I'm wondering what kind of timeouts we're talking about here. In the bug I note above, the timeout used by CGI was effectively 2 times as long as the timeout used when proxying to Plack/Starman. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 26254] New: Large patron imports through the web interface can timeout in plack
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 04 Sep '20

04 Sep '20

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=26254 Bug ID: 26254 Summary: Large patron imports through the web interface can timeout in plack Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Patrons Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: wizzyrea(a)gmail.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com The patron import job through the interface often times out with batches of import patrons of more than ~1000 patrons. Normally the job will complete in the background, but it is surprising and upsetting to users when this happens. It seems to happen more when there is significant matching happening. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

This patch use output_and_exit to stop the script and display an error to the end user. Test plan: Create a basket, add an order On the basket view you see the "Modify" link, open it in a separate tab => You can edit the basket Keep this tab open, get back to the other one and close the basket Reload the tab with the order edition form => You cannot longer edit the basket QA: Do we need a check in addorder.pl as well?
