In my opinion, such custom header should be configurable, or totally handled in the MTA. And if it was something that should be configurable or even mandatory, shouldn't it be set for all emails? Patrons have to be added individually. This is not the most reliable method. It would make more sense to have Koha transform the barcodes on the backend using a plugin. I would assume this somehow allows specification of all of hostname, username and password, but it is entirely unclear currently how to do this.
