This is a common practice in Debian: https://packages.debian.org/search?searchon=names&keywords=i18n As Bernardo pointed out in Bug 24211, ~350MB of Koha's installed size is just PO files. That's roughly 75% of Koha's installed size. Combined with Bernardo's early ideas from Bug 24211, we could actually package the PO files as compressed files (down from ~350MB to ~50MB). Libraries that need translations could make sure their vendors install koha-i18n (this is another use-case for koha-core vs koha-full), and then they can just decompress the languages required. Technically, this might even make it easier to provide updated translations when the only change in Koha is the translation (and no code/template changes). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. To recreate: Administration > Search engine configuration (Elasticsearch) Tab Bibliographic records: Add a new line , (e.g. abstract > 942v). See that in drop down for 'Sortable' you can select "1", "0", or "Undef" instead of "Yes" or "No". Click the "Add" Button - the line appears (last entry) Save. Error Message: " You attempted to delete all mappings for a required index, you must leave at least one mapping An error occurred when updating mappings: . I'm not sure if the better fix for users would be: 1. Have the framework fill those fields 2. Always open those framework links in the basic editor 3. Something else entirely. Click submit when finished. - now click on the edit button next to the server you just created. Notice that the 'Default server' box is still selected. In other words: you can use different translations for Use/don't use, activate/deactivate depending on context and the rest of the sentence. Now in the manual chapters for the system preferences, this does no longer work. There strings like Use/don't use and activate/deactivate are "collapsed" into one string. So you can only translate it once, which means you can't match the translations you picked for the Koha GUI. I am not sure how to solve this.
