When you try to print from advance editor, you only get the first half of the record. When displaying aut search results, the user can select for a particular aut record: Actions MARC preview And what appears seems to be a compilation of the tabbed display with all the MARC labels, e.g., "455 ## - SEE FROM TRACING--GENRE/FORM TERM" included. So it's not really a MARC preview--it's a repeat of the tabbed display assembled into one window. Since the MARC tag labels are already there for authorities in the tabbed display (like the MARC tag labels are present in the OPAC "MARC view"), they are already present for anyone wanting a MARC display with textual field labels. An unlabeled display for auts doesn't really exist, and it would be great if the "MARC preview" for auts was the unlabeled MARC display available for staff, just like the MARC preview for bibs is a unlabeled MARC display. I really want a way to see an unlabeled MARC aut record in one screen—to be able to look at it, read it, etc., quickly. There is currently no way to do that, and I think having the MARC preview repeat all the tag/field labels that are already present in the regular display is redundant. I would love for the aut MARC preview to be exactly the same as the bib MARC preview, so there is a way for catalogers to quickly see an unlabeled MARC record that they can examine, scan, read, etc. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. Also, a record of which librarian cancelled the notice and date/time stamp would be very useful. Use Case: Item is discharged, hold is trapped, & notice is generated. Staff then realizes that the item is badly damaged and reverts the hold to obtain another copy. This can potentially cause a number of problems: * ILL requests deleted could be pending, in shipment etc. You will have no audit track if there are any problems with transport etc. * You won't be able to do reliable statistics on number of ILL requests etc. especially since adding a request is not even logged. If the cataloguers already add the punctuation while cataloguing, this causes double punctuation or no punctuation at all where there should be. For instance, I have a record where there is a period (.) at the end of 100$e. So in MARC, it looks like 100 1# a Goscinny, René, d 1926-1977-, e author. In intranet details, it looks like Goscinny, René, 1926-1977- [author.]. There are two periods (and no comma after the date). In the 260 field, the opposite happens. There is a period at the end of 260$c in MARC, but nothing is appearing in intranet results. 260 ## a Paris : b Gallimard jeunesse, c [2014]. In the intranet details, it looks like Paris : Gallimard jeunesse, [2014] There is no period after the date. MARC21 has a code in LDR/18 to indicate whether or not punctuation has been included in the cataloguing. XSLT should obey this code to determine if it should add punctuation or not.
