I found this following the test plan from bug 34724, but the behaviour is the same on master: Test plan: 0. Apply the patch (including dependent patches) 1. Go to http://localhost:8081/cgi-bin/koha/admin/preferences.pl?tab=&op=search&sear… 2. Change both *LocalCoverImages sysprefs to "Show" 3. Go to http://localhost:8081/cgi-bin/koha/admin/preferences.pl?tab=&op=search&sear… 4. Change "AllowMultipleCovers" to "Allow" 5. Go to http://localhost:8081/cgi-bin/koha/catalogue/detail.pl?biblionumber=29 6. Click "Images (0)" tab 7. Download or make two JPEG images 8. Upload the images 9. Go to http://localhost:8080/cgi-bin/koha/opac-imageviewer.pl?biblionumber=29 10. It would be nice to either grey-out (or prevent) editing or provide some other warning that a field is protected prior to saving. To recreate: 1. Create a Record overlay rule with Source, z39.50, 590, protect, skip, skip, skip, skip. 2. Edit a bib record and add a 590 local note. 3. Save 4. Edit the field again and select Replace record via z39.50. 5. Before saving, change the wording of the local note. 6. Save. 7. Look for the note and see that the edits were not saved and the field is protected as it should be. We set up some fields as mandatory but this triggered an error 500 message. On our self-registration form we have the employment details mandatory: https://elms.koha-ptfs.co.uk/cgi-bin/koha/opac-memberentry.pl (we have had to make them optional for the time being due to the error showing). Whilst these fields were mandatory and new users completed them an error 500 would trigger when the form was saved. However, the user record would still be made (this led to many new users creating multiple records as they thought it had not saved the first time). The user record, however, would not contain the completed employment details or the consent (yes/no) answer for whether users would like to sign up to the Knowledge Share or Open Athens. This appears to have been because the mandatory fields in the staff interface user record form were not being shown on the OPAC self-registration form. This has meant that the fields staff must complete on the staff interface have had to be made optional so they 1. don't show on the self-registration form and 2. don't create an error 500 message from showing.
