https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=36886 Bug ID: 36886 Summary: Allow Patron messages to be restricted to predetermined messages only. No free text messages. Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Patrons Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: andrew.auld(a)ptfs-europe.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com Staff users can currently add patron messages to a patron account choosing from a pre-determined set of messages or creating a free text message. They can also choose whether the message shows to the Patron in the OPAC as well as staff, or just to staff. It should be possible to disable the addition of free text messages. There should be a choice between whether the free text message is allowable on the OPAC messages or just the staff side or not at all. This should also be permission based so that certain library staff could be given the permission to use free text messages and certain not. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 37700] New: Clarify manual for 'Lift after payment' and 'Fee limit' in Patron restriction types
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 23 Aug '24

23 Aug '24

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=37700 Bug ID: 37700 Summary: Clarify manual for 'Lift after payment' and 'Fee limit' in Patron restriction types Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 24.05 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: trivial Priority: P5 - low Component: Documentation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: sbrown(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: aude.charillon(a)ptfs-europe.com, philip.orr(a)lmscloud.de The explanations in the manual for 'Lift after payment' and 'Fee limit' in Patron restriction types could be more clearly written. Currently, they read: <Lift after payment: if set to ‘Yes’, restrictions using this type will be automatically lifted after payments equal to or exceeding the amount defined in ‘Fee Limit’. Fee Limit: enter the amount that must be paid in order to lift a restriction of this type. This field is only used if ‘Lift after payment’ is set to ‘Yes’.> The descriptions for both make it sound as if Koha is looking at the amount paid, but they actually refer to the remaining balance after payment. 'Lift after payment' could read "if set to yes, restrictions using this type will be automatically lifted if the patron's remaining balance after payment is equal to or below the amount defined in 'Fee limit'." 'Fee limit' could read "enter the amount down to which patrons must pay their balance in order to lift a restriction of this type. If the patron's balance is equal to or below this amount, the restriction will be lifted. This field is only used if ‘Lift after payment’ is set to ‘Yes’." -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

However, it is not possible to view the note without clicking on the issue to view the full details. A library service we support has suggested that it would be useful to be able to include the notes in the table view as most issues will include additional notes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
