It would be a nice enhancement to have an option when replacing the record to choose if you would also like to change the framework. For example. You have a record that was created using a Fast Add Framework for a newly published item. You now want to replace that record with the full record. Koha's current behavior will replace the record into the fast add framework. In fact the feature isn't present in the staff interface. To recreate: - have a record in the Default framework that already has a 100$a value - Confirm your framework defines the 100$a as non-repeatable - edit the record --- don't change the existing 100$a --- edit the subfield tag on a different 100 subfield, set it to $a, enter a value for the field - save your record - you get no error, your record now contains 2 100$a tags Further: - enable RequireChoosingExistingAuthority - confirm you cannot edit an existing 100$a without using the authority picker - take some other 100 subfield, edit its tag to be $a, put whatever you want in that field and save - Koha saves your non-authority author without issue It's worth noting I tried to save a 100$s, which is not defined in my framework. That data was not saved and I received no error message about it. I've confirmed this behavior in Main, 24.11, and 23.05. 24.11 and later versions have made it more obvious that one can edit these subfield tags, but the issue I've described here existed in 23.05. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. I've also heard of stories where people building from git repos are still getting files included even though they've run "rm -rf koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/js/vue/dist/*". This should be impossible, so there's probably something else going on there, but I think I have a solution which removes the necessity for this step anyway. (Note that for Debian package installs and regular tarball installs, the step isn't needed at all, because the tarballs are generating using "git archive" which doesn't include "vue/dist" files.) Anyway, the solution is to tell Makefile.PL specifically not to include "koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/js/vue/dist/*" in the "$file_map" data structure. That way, it should be impossible for these files to wind up in the "blib" except where we copy them in via the "move_compiled_js" target from bug 39849 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. At that time, "build-resources.PL" was run *before* "pm_to_blib" via "compile_css_js". But in Bug 37911, I moved "compile_css_js" to happen *after* "pm_to_blib", so that the Vue files could be copied into the "blib". We didn't notice this bug because on all the test builds we were doing, we forgot to "rm 'api/v1/swagger/swagger_bundle.json'" prior to the builds, so the builds were using a previously generated swagger_bundle.json file.
