[Bug 40117] New: Add option for modification of not for loan from items tab

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=40117 Bug ID: 40117 Summary: Add option for modification of not for loan from items tab Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Cataloging Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: hebah(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl Not for loan is a powerful status with a lot of flexibility for libraries, especially since it has the -/+ holdable but not circulating/does not circulate capability. And many libraries are not using it to full advantage because the only way to edit it is from the edit item form, not easily accessible from the items page (moredetail.pl) like other statuses. It would be nice if, perhaps by system preference, a library could optionally make editing of the not for loan status available from moredetail.pl. That way libraries that want NFL status updating a bit more locked down can still only access it from editing an item, and libraries that want staff to be able to use more flexible statuses make it more accessible to staff. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 35143] New: Add hooks for status changes to ILL requests to send_staff_notice
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Sep '26

22 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=35143 Bug ID: 35143 Summary: Add hooks for status changes to ILL requests to send_staff_notice Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: ILL Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: philip.orr(a)lmscloud.de CC: pedro.amorim(a)ptfs-europe.com If the library is using ILL, currently Email notifications can only be (automatically) sent to ILL staff when a patron makes a request to modify or cancel an existing request. The notice templates for those two cases are ILL_REQUEST_CANCEL and ILL_REQUEST_MODIFIED. It would be great if there was also a possibility to automatically send a mail to staff when a patron first creates a request. As ashimema said (paraphrasing here): it would be good to generally add hooks and tie them to the status field so that any status change of an ILL request triggers the corresponding ILL_REQUEST_NEWSTATUS notice if it exists (where NEWSTATUS stands for the new status after the status has changed). Some status changes for instance: ILL_REQUEST_NEW -> sent when request is first created. ILL_REQUEST_CANCEL -> same as it is now, sent when patron wishes to cancel a request ILL_REQUEST_IN_DELIVERY -> sent when status changes to "in delivery". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 34962] New: Add a system messages feature to Koha to report issues and failures in a more visible way
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=34962 Bug ID: 34962 Summary: Add a system messages feature to Koha to report issues and failures in a more visible way Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: kyle(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Many web projects have a "system messages" area to report cron failures and things like that. These messages are often dismissable. I think it would be great to have a "system messages" table that we could insert things into to make staff aware that something has failed. What I'm imagining is something like wrapping cronjob code in a try/catch and reporting cronjob failures. This would dovetail with action logs. Action logs lot you got searching for issues. This would put the issue right in front of you and would be trigger by actual failures. It could be used to report records with malformed MARC. It could be used to report items that are missing a required field that Koha assumes exists to function, and so on. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 30557] New: Add ability to create Item lists
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Sep '26

22 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=30557 Bug ID: 30557 Summary: Add ability to create Item lists Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 21.05 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Lists Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: estherm(a)sodaspringsid.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl This is relevant for multi-branch installations. Lists currently appear to be primarily bibliographic lists. This creates a problem when sorting lists by call number. In this scenario there may be multiple items from different libraries using different call number schema attached to a single bibliographic record. The list cannot be sorted accurately by call number. It would be helpful if there was an option for an item based list. In this scenario items are added to a list for a specific branch. The call number sort will then sort correctly because the call number schema will be consistent for the branch. An item list would display the same information as a bibliographic list with the exception of additional branches which may also have the item. A typical use case would a library creating an item list, sort by call number, and then use that list to go to the shelf to pull the items in order. This is currently not possible in a multi-branch installation without a bit of work. It would require downloading the list and then cleaning up the list to be useful for this kind of work. It may be possible to create a report that will do this, but it would be a nice added functionality in the List tool. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 18948] New: Elasticsearch - Reindexes should use aliases to avoid down time while reindexing

[Bug 39650] New: Updating the protected flag is not possible when creating a new patron

It is still possible to update this flag when updating an existing patron. This seams liked to bug 36085. The check to set the authorization flag CanUpdateProtectPatron (witch restrict the update to only superlibrarian) is itself in a check for op 'edit_form', 'cud-save' or 'duplicate'. The flag CanUpdateProtectPatron is not passed to the template when creating a new user as the op is 'add_form' even when logged in as a superlibrarian. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 16631] New: Show groups/categories of reports to authorized staff

Not everyone wants to see everyone else's reports, some are similar but are not. Some are for superlibrarians to test, and are not ready for use. It would be great if we could specify groups and even subgroups in the permissions that the staff could access, or specify all groups. All groups should be the norm for a superlibrarian.
