[Bug 42966] New: Migrate POS payment screen to Vue.js (pos/pay.pl)
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 01 Jul '26

01 Jul '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42966 Bug ID: 42966 Summary: Migrate POS payment screen to Vue.js (pos/pay.pl) Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Point of Sale Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk Depends on: 42962, 42964, 42965 Blocks: 42959 Target Milestone: --- This is part of the Point of Sale to Vue migration tracked under bug 42959. This patch replaces pos/pay.pl and pos/pay.tt with a Vue.js 3 application, following the module/route/store/component pattern already established by the ERM and Preservation modules under koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/js/vue/. This bug covers both the initial application scaffold (module entry point, route definitions, Pinia store, API composables) and the payment screen itself, since a bare scaffold with no visible UI is not meaningfully testable on its own. Scope: - Register selector - Sellable debit types table (item selection), backed by bug 42964 - Running sale total / cart - Payment collection form (tendered amount, change calculation, payment type), backed by bug 42965 - Email receipt action - Removal of the legacy pos/pay.pl controller and pos/pay.tt template once parity is confirmed, including the cash_management: takepayment permission check moving to the API layer - Cypress coverage for the sale flow, included as part of this patchset This is a rework, not a strict like-for-like port: minor UX improvements to the flow are welcome as long as all existing end-user actions remain possible. Larger UX ideas that surface during the work but are out of scope here should be captured as follow-on bugs rather than expanding this one. If gaps or reusable improvements in the shared Vue component library are identified while building this (e.g. a generic money/currency input, item-picker component, or form validation helper), split those out as separate prerequisite bugs so they can land independently and be reused by other Vue modules. Test plan: 1. Enable EnablePointOfSale and UseCashRegisters. 2. Navigate to the new Vue-based POS payment screen and select a register. 3. Add one or more sellable items to the sale and confirm the running total updates correctly. 4. Take payment, confirm change calculation, and confirm the resulting accountlines match what the legacy pos/pay.pl produced. 5. Email a receipt and confirm delivery. 6. Confirm the cash_management: takepayment permission is enforced. 7. Run the included Cypress spec. [Bug 42971] New: POS: UX improvements enabled by the Vue rework
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 01 Jul '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42971 Bug ID: 42971 Summary: POS: UX improvements enabled by the Vue rework Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Point of Sale Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk Depends on: 42966, 42967, 42969, 42970 Blocks: 42959 Target Milestone: --- This is a follow-on bug for the Point of Sale to Vue migration tracked under bug 42959, filed once bugs 42966, 42967, 42969 and 42970 have merged. The migration bugs above intentionally aim for functional parity with the legacy pos/pay.pl, pos/register.pl, pos/registers.pl and pos/printreceipt.pl pages rather than a full UX redesign, though small improvements were welcomed where they fell naturally out of the Vue rework. This bug is a placeholder to collect further UX proposals that become easier to justify or implement once the POS interface is Vue-based, for example: combining item selection and payment into a single step, live search/filter for sellable items, inline register switching without a page reload, or a better receipt preview. It should accumulate specific, separately-assessable proposals as the migration progresses rather than being treated as a single large redesign task. Test plan: N/A - this bug tracks a set of proposals; each proposal should carry its own test plan once scoped and implemented. This patch replaces pos/printreceipt.pl and pos/printreceipt.tt with a Vue receipt display/print component, preserving the FinePaymentAutoPopup auto-print behaviour, and removes the legacy controller and template once parity is confirmed. Cypress coverage for receipt display/printing should be included as part of this patchset. Test plan: 1. Enable EnablePointOfSale. 2. Complete a POS sale and confirm the receipt view shows the same transaction details as the legacy pos/printreceipt.pl. 3. Toggle FinePaymentAutoPopup and confirm the auto-print behaviour is preserved. 4. Run the included Cypress spec. This patch replaces pos/register.pl and pos/register.tt with a Vue component covering: - Outstanding accountlines for the selected register, backed by bug 42962 - Date-range filtered transaction history - Last-cashup boundary display - Cashup trigger, backed by bug 42963 - Removal of the legacy pos/register.pl controller and pos/register.tt template once parity is confirmed, including the relevant cash_management permission checks moving to the API layer - Cypress coverage for the register detail view, included as part of this patchset As with bug 42966, this is a rework rather than a strict port: minor UX improvements are welcome as long as all existing actions remain possible. [Bug 42965] New: REST API: Endpoint to record an anonymous or patron-optional POS sale
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 01 Jul '26

01 Jul '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42965 Bug ID: 42965 Summary: REST API: Endpoint to record an anonymous or patron-optional POS sale Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: REST API Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: tomascohen(a)gmail.com Target Milestone: --- This is part of the Point of Sale to Vue migration tracked under bug 42959. pos/pay.pl currently records a sale by building it up in Perl via Koha::Charges::Sales (add_item() per line, then purchase()), producing one or more debits that are optionally linked to a cash register and settled atomically. There is no REST endpoint for this. This overlaps significantly with two already-filed but unimplemented bugs: - Bug 42784: REST API: Add endpoint for patron-optional POS sales to support external payment system integration - Bug 42785: REST API: Add atomic external payment intake endpoint for patron-linked charges from third-party systems Rather than building a POS-specific endpoint in parallel, this work should be coordinated with 42784 and 42785 so a single endpoint design serves all three use cases: patron_id optional, register_id optional depending on the UseCashRegisters preference, one or more line items, settled atomically. Whichever bug's implementation lands first should be written so the others can reuse it rather than duplicating the schema. Test plan: 1. Confirm with whoever is working 42784/42785 on a shared endpoint shape before implementation. 2. Record a sale via the endpoint and confirm the resulting accountlines/offsets match what Koha::Charges::Sales produces today. 3. Add unit tests under t/db_dependent/api/v1/. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 42964] New: Expose sellable debit types scoped by library via REST API
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 01 Jul '26

01 Jul '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42964 Bug ID: 42964 Summary: Expose sellable debit types scoped by library via REST API Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: REST API Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: tomascohen(a)gmail.com Target Milestone: --- This is part of the Point of Sale to Vue migration tracked under bug 42959. pos/pay.pl currently builds the list of items available for sale by calling Koha::Account::DebitTypes->search_with_library_limits() directly in Perl, filtered to types flagged can_be_sold. A Vue-based payment screen needs this available via the API. This patch should confirm whether the account debit types REST endpoint already supports filtering by can_be_sold and by library, and extend it if not. Test plan: 1. Query the debit types endpoint filtered by can_be_sold=1 and confirm results match Koha::Account::DebitTypes->search_with_library_limits() for a given library. 2. Add/extend unit tests under t/db_dependent/api/v1/. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.
