[Bug 11361] Add a Z39.50 search page in the OPAC to let members search for records on remote Koha instances
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 09 Apr '25

09 Apr '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=11361 --- Comment #32 from David Cook <dcook(a)prosentient.com.au> --- (In reply to Sarah Cornell from comment #31) > This enhancement is 4 years and many versions old now, but is compelling for > US libraries who may lose shared systems due to funding cuts. Could you speak to this some more? Is the idea that your library would allow OPAC users to see other library holdings and then they could place an ILL through your library? Or something else? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 39362] New: Add ability for individual branches to customize/hide patron add form

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=39362 Bug ID: 39362 Summary: Add ability for individual branches to customize/hide patron add form Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Patrons Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: heather(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com The BorrowerUnwantedField and BorrowerMandatoryField system preferences currently apply to the entire Koha instance. For libraries belonging to a consortium, it would be wonderful for each library to have the ability to hide fields or make fields mandatory without affecting the entire consortium. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 39585] New: Search terms in results from advanced search are not highlighted
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 08 Apr '25

08 Apr '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=39585 Bug ID: 39585 Summary: Search terms in results from advanced search are not highlighted Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Searching Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: michael.adamyk(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Search terms are helpfully marked with highlighting in results if the system preference StaffHighlightedWords is enabled. However, this seems to apply only to basic catalog searches, and doesn't work properly for advanced searches. If this is the intended behavior, the description of the StaffHighlightedWords system preference should describe where highlighting will and will not appear. To replicate: 1. Make sure the StaffHighlightedWords system preference is set to "Highlight" 2. Click "Search catalog" and do a search for one or more words not listed in the NotHighlightedWords system preference 3. Note that search results have highlighting around the search terms 4. Run an advanced search for the same word(s), using a variety of boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) 5. Note that search results don't have any highlighting on the search terms 6. Click "Unhighlight" and then "Highlight" at the top of search results, and there is still no highlighting -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 39575] New: Title ID number in ERM could be hidden
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 08 Apr '25

08 Apr '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=39575 Bug ID: 39575 Summary: Title ID number in ERM could be hidden Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 24.05 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: ERM Assignee: jonathan.druart(a)gmail.com Reporter: esther.melander(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: jonathan.druart(a)gmail.com, jonathan.field(a)openfifth.co.uk, martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk, matt.blenkinsop(a)openfifth.co.uk, pedro.amorim(a)openfifth.co.uk Created attachment 180703 --> https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/attachment.cgi?id=180703&action=e… ERM titles with ID numbers and out of order To replicate: 1. Enable the ERM, if needed. 2. Go to ERM > eHoldings > Local > Packages 3. Create a package 4. Next go to Titles. 5. Click on +Import from KBART file. 6. Import file. See the resulting title list in the table. The titles have an ID number that has been appended. Also notice the ID numbers are out of order. It's not clear what the ID numbers refer to other than the number assigned by the ERM? ID numbers are not displayed elsewhere in Koha, so perhaps these can be hidden as well. If the numbers have some purpose, they should be in their own column so as not to be confused as part of a title. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 39581] New: Koha Tuning Guide
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 08 Apr '25

Searching around the culprit was identified: ``` thread_stack = 128K ``` To avoid that others to hit the same issue, I commented this line in the Wiki and added a comment on the issue. However, the issue hints that this page could use some rework by experts in the field. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 28285] New: Lists sorted by copyrightdate display results in ascending date order

It would be useful to be able to choose ascending or descending as the default as often libraries will want the newest items to appear first. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 39578] New: Checking out to change holding branch before setting due date and creating CHECKOUT slip
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 08 Apr '25

08 Apr '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=39578 Bug ID: 39578 Summary: Checking out to change holding branch before setting due date and creating CHECKOUT slip Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Circulation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: katariina.pohto(a)ouka.fi QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com When checking out an item in Koha, it seems the due date and checkout slips are created by the current holding branch. If the holding branch was different from the actual branch the checkout is being made (the librarian's chosen branch or the branch of a checkout machine), the checkout gets its due date and checkout slip according to another branch. This occurs quite frequently with us as we have a lot reservations and different float rules, so there's plenty of material always travelling from a branch to another. We're getting checkouts with wrong due dates and checkout slips. Possibly this could affect other things too. (Most of the time this occurs because of staff making an error and not checking in the books correctly. With our volumes it's impossible to avoid it completely. But this can also occur when patrons make an error at self-check-in, and another patron checks outs an item that was still checked out. In this case the due date is decided on the branch the book was initially checked out.) Would it be possible to update the holding branch of an item before it goes through the rest of the checkout process? The correct branchcode ends up in the issues table after all. Or possibly there could be a system preference whether to use the holding branch or the librarian's current branch when doing checkouts. This relates to 9227 as items in transit get checked out by the rules of the sending branch. https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=9227 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 39574] New: List ID number does not need to be displayed in ERM
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 07 Apr '25

07 Apr '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=39574 Bug ID: 39574 Summary: List ID number does not need to be displayed in ERM Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 24.05 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: ERM Assignee: jonathan.druart(a)gmail.com Reporter: esther.melander(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: jonathan.druart(a)gmail.com, jonathan.field(a)openfifth.co.uk, martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk, matt.blenkinsop(a)openfifth.co.uk, pedro.amorim(a)openfifth.co.uk To replicate. 1. Enable the ERM, if not enabled. 2. Create some lists in the Lists module. 3. Go to the ERM > eHoldings > Local > Titles 4. Click on +Import from List See the table of lists contain the title of the list and the list ID number. The list ID number could be useful, but it is not displayed elsewhere. It is probably not sufficiently useful to display in the ERM either and could be hidden. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
