We could do with reaching feature parity with our select2 wrapper and part of that is to implement an ajax driven infinite scroll as suggested in bug 32468. On the other hand, for "just News", the WYSIWYG editor is indeed helpful and it could be annoying to have to use the text editor. I can also see situations where a librarian wants to use WYSIWYG in the news and specifically wants to use text editor / codemirror for the HTML customizations. It would be nice to separate AdditionalContentsEditor into one syspref for the News and a different syspref for HTML customizations and pages.
