This means if you do a search and then want to scan a barcode into "Check out", "Check in", or "Renew", you first have to manually clear the search terms. This is inconsistent with how the header search boxes work overall. For instance, if you do a "Check out", it doesn't retain the value used to search. Instead of tabbing through results when clicked, clicking on claims returns populates results towards the bottom of the screen. When there are checkouts, staff have to scroll down to find those claims return results. The results also stay on the screen, so in a case where there are no holds, clicking on that tab will appear to display only the claims return results, because it is no longer located below where you have to scroll.
