The MARCXML looked something like this: <datafield tag="887" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">x</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="942" ind1=" " ind2=" "> </datafield> <datafield tag="950" ind1=" " ind2="k"> <subfield code="a">y</subfield> </datafield> When trying to view these records, the following message was displayed: The record you requested does not exist But all the data were in the biblio, biblioitems, biblio_metadata tables. It was not possible to view the the record in the editor either. Would it be possible to catch this error and say something like "The record you requested has fatal errors" instead of telling the user it does not exist? If I do an advanced search on two subjects with the AND operator, it works find, but if I do the same search with the OR operator, it runs the search with AND. This is seen in the URL. This does not seem to be the case with a keyword search. OR works just fine. I can manually change the ANDs to ORs in the URL, and it will do the search as expected. The problem seems specific to using subjects (at least on both criteria). The OR operator works just fine on the staff side. When there is only 1 available item for checkout in the biblio and a single patron has made 2 biblio level holds we allow the patron who has a single item on loan to renew their item and disregard the fact the we are leaving one hold unfilled. According to the AllowRenewalIfOtherItemsAvailable syspref the renewal should only be possible when other items can fill all the unfilled holds.
