I narrowed it down to the fact we store the new patron object but don't then discard changes to get the autoincremented new borrowernumber so we were sending blank ID's to GePreparedLetter. Something like what we have over in classsources.pl for creating and testing a regex splitting rule -- a place to put in some sample text to apply your regex to for matching/substitution to make sure it works as intended. Have multiple item types 2. Create an overlay rule: Module = source Filter = * Tag = 942 Preset = Protect Added, Append, Removed, Deleted = Skip 3. Find a record and edit in the Advanced Editor 4. Select Import in the Advanced Editor, find a record and import it. 5. See that the item type is not retained properly.
