[Bug 23378] New: Invalid OPAC search RSS: unescaped characters

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=23378 Bug ID: 23378 Summary: Invalid OPAC search RSS: unescaped characters Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: OPAC Assignee: oleonard(a)myacpl.org Reporter: victor.grousset(a)biblibre.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org == Test plan == 1. search something in the OPAC 2. open the RSS feed/copy the URL 3. validate it: https://validator.w3.org/feed/ 4. you will get something like: XML parsing error: <unknown>:16:48: not well-formed (invalid token) <link>/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?idx=kw&q=MY_SEARCH_QUERY_HERE&format=rss2</link> It seems that the equal sign needs some escaping. I heard there were escape changes in the last few versions. Is that related? The version 16.11 is said to not have this issue (although testing on a 16.11 demo gives the same result) As someone who was consuming the RSS feed couldn't anymore when switching from 16.11 to 18.11 There are still escape differences between these versions even if the first error is still here. Here are the differences if that helps. 18.05 <link>/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?idx=kw&q=lea&format=rss2</link> <atom:link rel="self" type="application/rss+xml" href="/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?idx%3Dkw%26q%3Dlea&sort_by=acqdate_dsc&format=rss2"/> 18.11 <link>/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?idx=kw&q=lea&format=rss2</link> <atom:link rel="self" type="application/rss+xml" href="/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?idx=kw&q=lea&sort_by=acqdate_dsc&format=rss2"/> «idx=kw&» vs «idx=kw&» «idx%3Dkw%26q%3D» vs «idx=kw» -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 22387] New: Checkin alert for transfer items to stop further checkins
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 24 Aug '19

24 Aug '19

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=22387 Bug ID: 22387 Summary: Checkin alert for transfer items to stop further checkins Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 18.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Circulation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: fiona.borthwick(a)ptfs-europe.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com Target Milestone: --- When checking items in you get an alert box if the item has to be transferred to a different library. However you can continue to scan item barcodes into the Checkin screen so there is a chance that you will miss this. With the hold alerts, library staff are forced to select an option before they can move on. Could the transfer alert be enhanced so it behaved in the same way? Also if the item has to be transferred to satisfy a hold, staff are forced to acknowledge the action before proceeding. The different behaviour appears to be with just this standard transfer alert. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 14669] Search orders by managing library
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 24 Aug '19

24 Aug '19

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=14669 --- Comment #12 from Owen Leonard <oleonard(a)myacpl.org> --- (In reply to Katrin Fischer from comment #11) > Owen, just to make sure, could you maybe verify my conclusions about the > includes/QA failure? I agree that it looks like a false positive. When the page is displaying search results and the form is in the sidebar is it possible to preselect the managing library the user just searched for? To be consistent it should remember their selection. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 19506] New: Staged Marc Import should warn if the selected encoding does not match MARC 21 leader
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 24 Aug '19

24 Aug '19

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=19506 Bug ID: 19506 Summary: Staged Marc Import should warn if the selected encoding does not match MARC 21 leader Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: MARC Bibliographic record staging/import Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: barton(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Mis-matches between character encodings will cause diacritics be incorrectly imported into Koha. If the imported marc record is MARC8 encoded and imported as UTF-8, diacritics will be converted to the REPLACEMENT CHARACTER ''. A UTF-8 encoded file imported as MARC8 will try to render the multi-byte UTF-8 characters as MARC8, resulting in garbage text. MARC21 stores its encoding in leader position 09 - Character coding scheme (http://www.loc.gov/marc/bibliographic/bdleader.html) The accepted encodings are '#' for MARC8 and 'a' for UTF-8 (although Koha exports ' ' for MARC8). Koha should check the leader for MARC21 records and warn if the selected encoding does not match the encoding of the marc record, giving the user the opportunity to change the encoding or download fresh records with the correct encoding. [Bug 23500] New: Last borrower time out

Currently, the last borrower info in an item until that item is checked out again and returned. If that item is not checked out again, that information is there indefinitely. For the sake of local or other laws, it would be great if there were a cron job that would look for any last borrower info that has been in place for a prescribed amount of time, and changed it to the anonymous borrower record. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 23481] New: Refine Search button does not perform as expected
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 23 Aug '19

23 Aug '19

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=23481 Bug ID: 23481 Summary: Refine Search button does not perform as expected Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: OPAC Assignee: oleonard(a)myacpl.org Reporter: andrew(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org On the OPAC search results page, there's a link above the facets that says "Refine your search." One can click this link to toggle display of the facets on and off. This is less than helpful. When teaching Koha to new librarians, they generally assume that "Refine your search" will instead take them to the advanced search page populated with the search they've just performed so that they can easily refine or adjust the search and perform it over again. I'd love to see the existing link changed from its current functionality to this expected use. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
