[Bug 9921] Make it possible to force 001 = biblionumber
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 25 Jan '19

25 Jan '19

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=9921 --- Comment #68 from Katrin Fischer <katrin.fischer(a)bsz-bw.de> --- The ...AV.pl catalouging plugins are based on a counter in an authorised value. The original catalouging plugin is used for generating stocknumbers, but could also be adapted to be used for generating numerus currens callnumbers. This has the advantage that even with more than one person catalouging at the same time, the number is only generated/used once. The downside is that when you have used a number but not save the record/item, the number is lost unused. I believe other catalouging plugins use the approach to look for the max(stocknumber or similar) with SQL and creating the next number from there. Advantage: Every number will be used, disadvantage: the number could be used multiple times. I can send you the file for the 001-plugin we use - but I think I really only adapted the SQL statement of stocknumberAV.pl a bit. This might also be interesting for you (new in 18.11): bug 19263 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 9805] Lost items are un-lost if returned, but not if renewed
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 25 Jan '19

25 Jan '19

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=9805 SiobhanC <siobhancottam(a)gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |siobhancottam(a)gmail.com --- Comment #54 from SiobhanC <siobhancottam(a)gmail.com> --- I'd also be interested in an update on this - we are using DefaultLongOverdueLostValue to automatically update item status. We allow renewal of these items, in the staff client and OPAC, but when items are renewed, the lost status remains which means that fines are not applied and overdue notices are not sent. There is talk of a system pref for removing lost status when items renewed - will this be in a future release? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=13626 Kelly McElligott <kelly(a)bywatersolutions.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |kelly(a)bywatersolutions.com --- Comment #2 from Kelly McElligott <kelly(a)bywatersolutions.com> --- It has been brought to my attention that if a staff member does not have fines permissions- they will not see the Forgive Fines on Return. If neither Fines permissions are check marked, they will not see the Forgive Fines on Return from the circulation.pl. If the staff member has "Remaining permissions for managing fines and fees" check marked, they also will not see the Forgive fines on return from circulation.pl. If they have "Write off Fines/Fees" - Forgive Fines on Return will display at circulation.pl. So I believe this bug has been resolved. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.
