https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=20070 Bug ID: 20070 Summary: autoBarcode Increment Value Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 17.05 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Cataloging Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: mustaqeemabd(a)gmail.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl Hi Bugzilla, Today I just found an error when enabling autoBarcode (generate in the form <branchcode>yymm0001.) in System Preferences. the problem is the barcode number is not auto increase for the next item added. I realize the problem because our branchcode is numeric (e.g 0001, 0002, 0003, LIB1). The barcode number is increase if code used is alphabet only (e.g LIB, LIBI, LIBII, LIBIII). Please help regarding this matter. Our Koha version 17.05. Step to regenerate the problem: 1) Enable autoBarcode (generate in the form <branchcode>yymm0001.) in Cataloging Preferences. 2) Add New Item (Appear great for the first item) 3) Add another New Item (this is where barcode number not auto increase). Thank you!! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

If we change the scope, we can include the perl check as part of the new scope, and thus properly set its value. As Debian Jessie, Stretch and Ubuntu Xenial all have good versions of Perl by default, the easiest way to test this is to: - make sure to have some optional modules not installed. - change the system preference 'Version' to one just under the current version in your SQL client. - modify the version check line to 5.030000 - restart_all and try going to the staff client. -- This should not inform you that your perl version is bad. - git reset hard back to origin/master - apply the patch - modify the version check line to 5.030000 - change the system preference 'Version' to one just under the current version in your SQL client. - restart_all and try going to the staff client. -- This should trigger the patch, and you should be informed your perl version is bad. - git reset hard back to origin/master - apply the patch - run koha qa test tools -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
