[Bug 38694] New: Boost exact title matches in Elasticsearch
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 10 Feb '26

10 Feb '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=38694 Bug ID: 38694 Summary: Boost exact title matches in Elasticsearch Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Searching - Elasticsearch Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: nick(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org When searching in Zebra, the backed actually did some combined searches, one of them being an exact title search. When libraries switch to Elastic, they notice exact titles aren't boosted in the same way. So a search for 'The Help', 'It', or 'To die for' won't necessarily return the expected result first. We can use the 'bool' query in Elastic to add a more exact search for title -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 28849] New: Claim Returned should alert at checkout

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=28849 Bug ID: 28849 Summary: Claim Returned should alert at checkout Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Circulation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: andrew(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com Depends on: 14697 When checking out an item connected to an unresolved claim, we should alert the user just as we do at checkin. To recreate: - Set ClaimReturnedLostValue - set MarkLostItemAsReturned so that claimed items are marked as returned - check an item out to Patron A - mark that item claimed - check the item out to Patron B - Koha alerts you that it's removed the lost status, but not that there is an unresolved claim - set MarkLostItemAsReturned so that claimed items are NOT marked as returned - mark item as claimed on Patron B's account - check the item out to Patron C - Koha alerts you that the it's removed the item's lost status and asks if you want to end Patron B's checkout, but does not mention the 2 unresolved claims - check the item in - Koha gives a return-claim dialog alert with links to Patron A and Patron B We should give the same alert at checkout, since that's the moment at which Koha first knows this item has been found. [Bug 3492] Move hold fee setting into circulation rules
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 10 Feb '26

10 Feb '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=3492 --- Comment #77 from Martin Renvoize (ashimema) <martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk> --- Created attachment 192905 --> https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/attachment.cgi?id=192905&action=e… Bug 3492: (follow-up) Replace GetReserveFee with holds_fee method GetReserveFee was removed as part of the migration to circulation rules-based hold fees, but reserve/request.pl still imported and used it, causing compilation errors. This patch replaces the two usages of GetReserveFee with the modern approach using Koha::Item->holds_fee($patron), matching the implementation in opac-reserve.pl. The fee is calculated by iterating through available items and using the first non-zero fee found, which provides backward compatibility with the legacy reserve_charge template variable. This implementation uses ReservesControlBranch to determine which branch's circulation rules apply (either item home library or patron home library), consistent with the existing Koha policy framework. Test plan: 1. Apply patch 2. Verify reserve/request.pl compiles: perl -wc reserve/request.pl 3. Navigate to staff interface holds page with patron and biblio 4. Verify hold fee is displayed correctly if configured in circulation rules 5. Place a hold and verify fee is charged correctly -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

This preference likely disappeared during rebases. Adding it in the correct alphabetical position between 'timeout' and 'todaysIssuesDefaultSortOrder'. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
