See the attached images. I set several items to different types and put the type in the public notes field so I could keep track of them all. These values all came from an authorized value field - in which I entered text in the OPAC display field ... but it's not displaying. If the authorized values allow for me to enter a value for the OPAC then it should appear in the OPAC. This works cross-browser, but has a high failure rate with regard to hiding the shadow consistently, resulting in an orphan shadow after the tooltip has been hidden. I propose to instead use the new CSS3 property "box-shadow" (-moz-box-shadow and -webkit-box-shadow for Firefox and Safari/Chrome). The latest versions of Internet Explorer and Opera do not support this property. Using irregular is problematic, particularly when bimonthly is quite regular and common. Shouldn't be too hard to add a case in the Javascript to handle this; value 13 is still available, but logically, this should be value 4 or 5. That would require displacing existing periodicity values, however. A better, larger solution would be to change the values from numeric to alphanumeric, and match them to the MARC 21 Format for Holdings Data 853$ field (http://www.loc.gov/marc/holdings/hd853855.html) a - Annual j - Three times a month b - Bimonthly k - Continuously updated c - Semiweekly m - Monthly d - Daily q - Quarterly e - Biweekly s - Semimonthly f - Semiannual t - Three times a year g - Biennial w - Weekly h - Triennial x - Completely irregular i - Three times a week This would improve standardization, provide more immediate options, and increase the flexibility to add new options down the road, without insertion problems. On that list there is the option to filter the results. If you choose to filter the results then click 'Add' it opens the edit routing list screen in the pop up and doesn't add the patron.
