There is a line to uncomment to activate public Z39.50 search, but the BIBLIOGRAPHIC RECORDS <server> tag must be copied and given a new id of 'publicserver' in order for one to be able to search the catalog. This configuration tag should be included in the default, commented out just like the line to turn on publicserver listening. The cause seems to be that returns.pl does not check the circulation rules, just whether or not there is a hold. There should be some sort of sanity testing to confirm that an item really is allowed to have a hold on it. Example: 1. Create a biblio with one item of a type that can have holds on it. 2. Place a hold on that biblio. 3. Create a new item of a type that cannot have a hold. 4. Example: homeorholdingbranchreturn is missing from de-DE Tagsmoderation is still NULL instead of 0 I looked at it-IT and other files too, the total of lines varies. I think all files need to be checked and have probably differences to en. Fixing all syspref.files is one option - but with the new translatable syspref editor another option would perhaps be to always use the en files.
