I haven't patch-i-fied this yet. I've only run this on a packages installation. The koha zebra daemon removal part still needs some work. But once I'm happy with my testing on packages, I'll work on testing it on a git install. Then I'll go old-school with a tarball install. I probably need to add logic to exclude the git clone directory from deletion. Any other ideas or feedback? The solution I took was to move these variables to a separate $template->param() call based on "if $gist;". Here is my initial, rough draft attempt. If anyone wishes to polish it up, test it, comment that it is missing something, that would be great. The measure of good software, in my books: installs easy, does what it says, and uninstalls easy. We have been having a problem with the Koha search function for a while and previously it was resolved by a simple restart but now even that has not been able to resolve this. When a search is carried out on both the OPAC and the administration area, it returns "No results found" although the item exists. Also we had issues with the Zebra indexing since it could not automatically rebuild once an item is catalogued but that we have resolved to doing it manually using "sudo /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/rebuild_zebra.pl -b -r -v" This has helped us populate the databases and the items are shown on the Inventory/Stocktaking area since the search is not functional at the moment. Here we have a ISSN field, and a Title field. The search is performed by the GetSubscriptions in C4/Serials.pm. The string typed in the Title zone is compared to the following fields: biblio.title subscription.callnumber subscription.location subscription.notes subscription.internalnotes The string typed in the ISSN field is compared to: biblioitems.issn subscription.callnumber (again!) The differences are not very significant, and the text accompanying the fields (saying just ISSN and Title) are not consistent with the actual search process. It would then probably be simpler to use only one input field, like it's done for other searches in Koha. We could do something closer to the "Search the Catalog" tab.
