Once operators, values and sort selected in this form the search can be performed. The bug is that the values entered are kept but not the selected operators and sort. Currently existing item(s) is/are displayed above the "Add Item" input form. Some of our serial catalogue records have 30+ items attached to them. Therefore, we have to scroll down to "Add Item" input form before able to add a new item. The problem is the parens are not escaped properly, and so are interpreted as part of the query language, rather than the query string. For example, this query fails: (su:{Baggins, Frodo (Fictitious character)}) AND (su:{Fiction}) but this query works: (su:{Baggins, Frodo \(Fictitious character\)}) AND (su:{Fiction}) I think the problem is within the xslt template subfieldSelect. Interestingly, with XSLT off, each subject shows up as an individual link ( so one link for Frogo, and one link for Ficition ) whereas with XSLT on, they subjects are combined with an AND. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

This makes no sense. The correct behaviour would be to give no results. TEST PLAN --------- 1) OPAC Search for something (I started with stupid) 2) Narrow it to one item (I tweaked it to stupid things) 3) Detail page comes up 4) Staff client -> home -> administration -> global system preferences -> OPAC 5) OpacHiddenItems add "homebranch: [MAL,DAV,PAP]", changing MAL, DAV, PAP to the branches for items for this single biblio. 6) Search for the one item again in OPAC -- 404.pl is triggered. 4) Apply patch 5) Search again for the one item search -- No results is triggered (as expected) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

However, it looks strange to have a biblio entry in the OPAC if all the items are hidden or there are no items. In this case, hide the biblio too. Test ==== 1) Find a biblio with multiple item records across multiple branches. 2) View it in OPAC. 3) In the staff client hide one of the branches using OpacHiddenItems. 4) Refresh the OPAC details. There should be less, because of the hidden branch. 5) In the staff client hide all of the branches (e.g. homebranch: [BR01,BR02]) 6) Refresh the OPAC details. A biblio entry with no items will be displayed. 7) In the staff client enter a dummy biblio record, with no items. 8) View the OPAC details for that biblio. A biblio entry with no items will be displayed. NOTE: There is a tiny scope creep, in that a silent warning hazard for the biblionumber was also corrected. (forgive me) 9) Go to .../cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber= with no number entered. There should be a 404 output page. 10) Check the opac error log file. There should be a warning related to the int(undef) 11) Apply the patch. 12) Go to .../cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber= with no number entered. There should be a 404 output page. 13) There should be no new warning. 14) Go to the dummy biblio that you entered (.../cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=#####). There should be a 404 output page. 15) Go back to the initial biblionumber (.../cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=#####). There should be a 404 output page.
