While this may be correct for MARC21/USMARC installations, I understand that the correct entry for a UNIMARC installation would be “676a” for Dewey, or something similar. Both the default value and the example text could be amended to reflect this in UNIMARC installations. As it regards the example text, I wonder however if MARC flavor selection during set-up can go beyond framework selection and default values; The text may have to be expanded to cover more flavours or warn the user that the example only stands for USMARC/MARC21. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

For example : - add <template_cache_dir>/tmp</template_cache_dir> in your KOHA_CONF file - returns a book that a borrower has reserved. I have imported a "fresh" record using the Z39.50 search. I grabbed the "Linux Journal" record from the LC Z39.50 server. I have connected to Koha's Z39.50 server using the following command: yaz-client -c /etc/koha/zebradb/ccl.properties localhost:9999/biblios I run the command find linux and then show. I get a record that returns &lt and &gt, etc. instead of <, >, etc. This also happens when I connect to Koha's Z39.50 server using TLC's Cataloging module. So, multiple Z39.50 clients having the same issue with Koha's Z39.50 server giving them &lt xml entities instead of the correct character <, etc. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

The problem is resolved by disabling memcache. To prove: Enable memcache. Select Administration / MARC bibliographic framework / Default framework : click on MARC structure For tag 015, click on Subfields : note there are four subfields, of which 2 and a are not 'hidden' but 6 and 8 are 'hidden'. Click Edit Subfields and for subfield 8, Display More Constraints; note the Visibility line: OPAC checked (show) Intranet checked (show) Editor not checked (don't show) Collapsed not checked (show the non-hidden subfields, don't collapse to show the tag only) Go to the data base and select the marc_subfield_structure table. Observe that for tagfield 015, tagsubfield 8 and frameworkcode ' ' the value of 'hidden' is -6. This is correct. We understand that if the value is -6 then the subfield is not shown in the editor. This can be confirmed by going to the cataloguing module, selecting New Record and Default framework. Check tag 015 - subfield 8 is not displayed. Now edit subfield 8 and set Editor to 'checked'. Return to the data base and confirm that 015 subfield 8 for the default framework now has 'Hidden' set to 0 (zero). Subfield 8 should now display in the cataloguing editor. (Note that removing all items from a list is more or less the same as removing the list at once.) My answer would be: the owner should only be allowed to do that in the OPAC. A user in the staff client may do it too. [Currently, any opac login can delete the list. This is a bug!] 2 Who should be allowed to delete an public open list (category 3 only!) or add/remove items from that list? My answer would be: any login from OPAC or staff. It should be made clear that creating such a list is really at your own risk ;) Currently, a user in the opac cannot create an open list. (Is that a bug?) 3 Proposed revisions to lists management: If we solve points 1 and 2, management of lists comes down to all or nothing. You can do everything with an open list, but if you are not owning a closed list, you can't do anything. Would it be useful to have something in between? Like deleting your own added items from a closed list (we could save borrowernumber in virtualshelfcontents)?? Or give the owner of an open list the choice between full access for other logins, adding items only or deleting own added items?
