[Bug 16170] New: Pseudo foreign key in Items
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 16 May '16

16 May '16

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=16170 Bug ID: 16170 Summary: Pseudo foreign key in Items Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Database Assignee: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com Reporter: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org While many of us would like to get rid of biblioitems, the current scheme includes a biblioitemnumber and a biblionumber in Items. (Which is not so great..) But also note that biblionumber is NOT defined as a foreign key in Items, although a belongs_to relation has been added to the DBIx scheme! This inconsistency should be resolved. The "remove biblioitem table" operation is a large one, but in the meantime we better make biblionumber a regular FK not a pseudo one. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 16041] New: StaffAuthorisedValueImages & AuthorisedValueImages preferences - impact on search performace
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 16 May '16

16 May '16

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=16041 Bug ID: 16041 Summary: StaffAuthorisedValueImages & AuthorisedValueImages preferences - impact on search performace Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Searching Assignee: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com Reporter: abl(a)biblos.pk.edu.pl QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Those preferences (StaffAuthorisedValueImages and AuthorisedValueImages) have currently (after Bug 11842) big negative impact on the search performance. If you don't use those features, disabling them will result in considerable search speed gain in staff and OPAC respectivelly (around 500-700 miliseconds on the fast server - depending of the cache system in use). Also note that StaffAuthorisedValueImages preference is enabled by default in the fresh installs, so it probably affects a lot of people which don't use / don't even know about this feature. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
