[Bug 16313] New: Koha::Logger doesn't forward the Log::Log4perl::Logger return value
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 15 Oct '17

15 Oct '17

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=16313 Bug ID: 16313 Summary: Koha::Logger doesn't forward the Log::Log4perl::Logger return value Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com Reporter: olli-antti.kivilahti(a)jns.fi QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Log::Log4perl::Logger->$method returns undef if the log level is not logged or something bad happened and true or something similar on success. This allows chaining different loggers to trigger if Log4perl failed to log. Koha::Logger is hardwired to return 1 if Log4perl is configured properly regardless of whether the Log4perl actually succeeded in printing the log message. This is a Log4perl best practice: $Koha::Logger->debug() or syslog("LOG_DEBUG", ...); which should revert to syslog() to log if Log4perl cannot for some reason do the logging. (eg. is disabled) This patch makes the Koha::Logger work with Log4perl better in tandem and return the proper return values. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

This is due to ZOOM caching the results. This feature adds a ZOOM::Connection flushing subroutine to get rid of old caches. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 16493] New: acq matching on title and author

For example, when you order a file of 50 DVDs for example and they don't have ISBNs they're matching on the books. And then you have to order them one by one. ---------- [11:42] <cait> it seems to use FindDuplicate [11:43] <cait> http://git.koha-community.org/gitweb/?p=koha.git;a=blob;f=C4/Search.pm;hb=4… [11:44] <cait> i might be misreading it, but looks like isbn when there is one - if there is none, title and author ----------- This shouldn't happen, it's a big deal in libraries that do a lot of ordering and is just plain wrong based on cataloging rules. Is there any way to override this without doing them one by one or a way to make it use the matching rules instead? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 15745] New: C4::Matcher gets CCL parsing error if term contains ? (question mark)

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=15745 Bug ID: 15745 Summary: C4::Matcher gets CCL parsing error if term contains ? (question mark) Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: MARC Bibliographic record staging/import Assignee: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com Reporter: dcook(a)prosentient.com.au QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org I was using C4::Matcher via the record matching rules during an import, and I kept getting the following error: "CCL parsing error (10014) Embedded truncation not supported ZOOM". Query: id-other,st-urx=http://www.skovdenyheter.se?p=38004 I wondered why it was trying to do "embedded truncation" when it shouldn't have been doing any truncation by default... so I thought about wrapping the whole term in double quotation marks. Sure enough, the following worked and didn't produce an error: id-other,st-urx="http://www.skovdenyheter.se?p=38004" You can notice this same problem elsewhere when using CCL. Most noticeably directly with yaz-client: Z> find ti=test? CCL ERROR: Right truncation not supported Z> find ti="test?" Sent searchRequest. Received SearchResponse. Search was a success. Number of hits: 4, setno 2 SearchResult-1: term=test cnt=4 records returned: 0 Elapsed: 0.000816 Also consider the following: Z> find kw,rt=tes* CCL ERROR: Right truncation not supported Z> find kw="tes*" Sent searchRequest.
