In the case of window.print() followed by window.location.href=, I've found in IE 11 on Windows 8.1 that the browser changes the window location before the system print dialogue even opens. If I try to mitigate that using the timer from bug 11014, it works in IE and Chrome, but it breaks in Firefox. If I try to use the onafterprint in IE and Firefox, it works in IE but it breaks in Firefox. I started wondering if we even need to be using this window.print() followed by window.location.href= and it occurred to me that we really don't. We should just be using print.css. The print notices for holds are different -- there's a separate HOLD_PRINT notice file and the system uses it if there's no email address. Then a nightly cron job runs to gather those up from the message queue and put them in an HTML file in the notice directory, as above. If you make a "Record matching rule" for authorities you can match one existing auth record with the batch imported. We had this issue pop up today for item 0114961548103 while being checked in at Hudson. The item's home branch is Hugh Embry and it needs to go to the New River branch. When being checked in, there are two options to print a transfer slip on the check in prompt: the "Print slip" link near the top and the "Print slip and confirm" button near the bottom. If you choose the "Print slip" link at the top, the slip INCORRECTLY reads "Transfer to Hugh Embry." If you choose the "Print slip and confirm" button at the bottom, the slip correctly reads "Transfer to New River."
