To reproduce : - Make sure system preference acqcreateitem is "cataloguing the record" or "receiving an order". - Make sure you have everything needed to place an order (currency, budget, vendor) 1. Stage a MARC file from Tools > Stage MARC records for import 2. Go to Acquisitions and create a basket for a vendor 3. Add to basket from staged file 4. So if a patron owes $10 in fines, and has a $10 credit, they technically owe nothing, but yet they still owe $10. This seems rather confusing. Instead, we should add the ability for credits to be used to pay down closed out fines and other fees. Maybe all the options to Net::LDAP->new should be made configurable? https://metacpan.org/pod/Net::LDAP The comments in C4::Auth_with_ldap describes how to configure LDAP, including mappings etc. Maybe this configuration could be extended with an "options" element to something like this: <config> ... <useldapserver>1</useldapserver>  <ldapserver id="ldapserver"> <hostname>localhost</hostname> <base>dc=metavore,dc=com</base> <user>cn=Manager,dc=metavore,dc=com</user>  <pass>metavore</pass>  <options> <scheme>...</scheme> <keepalive>...</keepalive> <timeout>...</timeout> etc... </options> ... <mapping> ... </mapping> </ldapserver> </config> So that we can iterate over the elements inside <options>, and use them to make a hash with element names as keys and element content as values, and then pass this to Net::LDAP->new? Bug 5406 is similar to this, but was marked CLOSED INVALID, because you can specify <hostname>ldaps://ldap.example.com</hostname> to get LDAPS. Log out. - Log into OPAC - it won't work. Not good at all. This is bad for at least 2 reasons: - Often staff accounts are used like normal patron accounts by staff. - Because of permissions, sometimes the OPAC is the only place a staff user can change their password.
