by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=29800 Bug ID: 29800 Summary: Add option to calculate fines when an item is marked lost Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Circulation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: andrew(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com We have the system preferences CalculateFinesOnReturn and CalculateFinesOnBackdate to make Koha calculate overdue fines as an item is returned, either in place of or in addition to the fines cron. However, if one marks an item as lost and has MarkLostItemAsReturned enabled, the issue will be ended without an overdue fine being calculated. We should add the option to calculate an overdue fine at the moment of marking an item lost. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 21214] New: cleanup_database.pl --mail should let admin choose which letter codes to keep

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=21214 Bug ID: 21214 Summary: cleanup_database.pl --mail should let admin choose which letter codes to keep Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Command-line Utilities Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: charles.farmer(a)inlibro.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: robin(a)catalyst.net.nz We are often asked if an email was sent to a patron, and despite not having 100% confirmation that the message reached the person, it feels bad when fines are attached to it and no information's left in the database for our librarians. A new patch would let certain messages stay in the database, despite their age, based on their letter_code. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 28657] New: Expand branches.branchip to allow for multiple space separated ip ranges

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=28657 Bug ID: 28657 Summary: Expand branches.branchip to allow for multiple space separated ip ranges Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: System Administration Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: michael.hafen(a)washk12.org QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com change branches.branchip to a mediumtext, and remove '*' from existing branchip settings. Change C4/Auth.pm from a regexp to using in_iprange() to check client address against branchip. (in_iprange() doesn't work with '*' in branchip.) Change in_iprange() to default to false (which is what the POD says it should do). Also, have it trim '*' in case someone adds some back later. Change note in admin/branches.tt under branchip field to reflect changes to branchip handling. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 19814] New: Batch Check-in function

A lot of small libraries don't have self-check station. Maybe a good solution would be adding function "Batch Check in"? Thanks a lot Regards -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 26288] New: Update the Select2 JS lib to version 4.1.0

We found some glitches about the width (see bug 25727 comment 19 for instance). [Bug 24535] New: Add the ability to have longer barcodes than 20 digits
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=24535 Bug ID: 24535 Summary: Add the ability to have longer barcodes than 20 digits Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Cataloging Assignee: nick(a)bywatersolutions.com Reporter: kelly(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl Currently, in Koha, an item's barcode can only be up to 20 digits, it would be nice to increase this value to possibly a higher number such as 32. Koha recently increased the patron's barcode length to 32 and it was helpful to libraries. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 27364] New: Making previous patron cardnumbers searchable
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Oct '26

21 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=27364 Bug ID: 27364 Summary: Making previous patron cardnumbers searchable Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 20.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Patrons Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: fiona.borthwick(a)ptfs-europe.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com Bug 18626 introduced the logging of changes to patron cardnumbers which is great, but this still does not link together previous cardnumbers. Imagine this scenario: A library patron loses their library card. They are issued with a replacement. Old and new cardnumbers are recorded in the Modification log. The old card is found (doesn't matter who finds it) and brought to the library. A member of library staff scan the barcode - get no results. This means they are none the wiser as to who this card belonged to. Would it not be a good idea to allow previous cardnumbers to be searchable? Some libraries may record this information somewhere in the patron record, but a search by cardnumber would be extremely helpful. It would be useful if the cardnumber moved into a linked field automatically when a new cardnumber was entered. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 24910] New: Make it possible to choose see also-authorities in authority finder
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Oct '26

21 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=24910 Bug ID: 24910 Summary: Make it possible to choose see also-authorities in authority finder Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Cataloging Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl When searching for authorities, sometimes you may see the result you want to select in a see also, but it is not possible to *choose* that one. You have to do another search to get it into the results list of auth finder. Wouldnt it be nice if we could somehow add a link to choose them too? The current link allows you to open them, but this seems less useful at least in our case. Would a preference be useful to switch between choosing or opening ? Or should we add a small link? How could we address that best in terms of styling etc? Your feedback is appreciated ! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 28740] New: Delete old ILL requests with cleanup_database
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 19 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=28740 Bug ID: 28740 Summary: Delete old ILL requests with cleanup_database Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Command-line Utilities Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: andrew(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: robin(a)catalyst.net.nz, tomascohen(a)gmail.com We should teach cleanup_database to delete old ILL requests after a given period. Over in bug 23391, we introduced a syspref in which one can define statuses for which to hide ILL requests. Following that same idea of allowing whatever statuses a given back-end may use, the cron should take a number of days and a status and delete any request with that status that is more than that many days old. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 28071] New: Ability to batch remove titles from a list
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 19 Oct '26

19 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=28071 Bug ID: 28071 Summary: Ability to batch remove titles from a list Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: new feature Priority: P5 - low Component: Lists Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: severine.queune(a)bulac.fr QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl Sometimes, lists can have a quite large number of titles. With the export option, it's easy to work on this corpus, and, sometimes, find some titles we finally don't want in that list. If they are numerous, it's for now quite painful to find and delete them. A useful option could be, as it exists with the button "Add items", to be able to remove several titles at a time using barcode or biblionumber. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
