[Bug 7187] Prioritize cover image sources such as Amazon, Google and add fail over i.e. if first source fails, go to next
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 16 Jun '22

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=7187 --- Comment #53 from Manos PETRIDIS <egpetridis(a)yahoo.com> --- I've accidentaly reset the component this bug report was set to. Bugzilla brought up the next bug in list upon saving changes to a bug I had just opened and I thought that I had mis-selected on first try. [Bug 27253] New: borrowers.updated_on cannot be null on fresh install, but can be null with upgrade
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 16 Jun '22

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=27253 Bug ID: 27253 Summary: borrowers.updated_on cannot be null on fresh install, but can be null with upgrade Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: kyle(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Simply put, the borrowers table column updated_on in kohastructure.sql specifies that it cannot be null, but the updatedatabase.pl it can. It appears the NOT got lost when the column as renamed 'updated_on' from 'timestamp' in a followup on bug 10459. Fixing it is easy, the question is, what do we do with currently NULL updated_on's? My though is to set them to the unix epoch ( 1970-01-01 ). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 30967] New: Add ability to toggle Z39.50 server selection for searching

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=30967 Bug ID: 30967 Summary: Add ability to toggle Z39.50 server selection for searching Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 22.05 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Cataloging Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: egpetridis(a)yahoo.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl It would be nice if one could toggle Z39.50 server selection in z3950_search.pl, so that once the default servers are consulted, one could query the rest of the servers and only those. Curently one has to either manually deselect the servers selected by default, or select all servers/targets, regardless of the performance - load penalty this would entail. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 26587] New: detail.pl is very slow for records with many items
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 14 Jun '22

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=26587 Bug ID: 26587 Summary: detail.pl is very slow for records with many items Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Cataloging Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: dcook(a)prosentient.com.au QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl Using Plack Koha, it took about 10 seconds to load detail.pl for a page with 350 items. Looking at the code, we loop through order, subscriptions, and items. I haven't done any benchmarking, but my guess would be the slowdown comes when looping through the items, as there are lots of database calls made in that loop. I think optimizations come down to the following (which are not mutually exclusive): 1. Get the full count of items but only lookup/render a subset using an AJAX call 2. Use fewer database calls in the loop by fetching all the data needed from the database and then processing it as necessary in the loop 3. Use fewer external cache lookups by doing things like C4::Context->preference('UseCourseReserves') outside of the loop rather than inside the loop -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
