[Bug 28746] New: Add OPAC equivalent for RestrictionBlockRenewing system preference
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 18 Jul '22

18 Jul '22

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=28746 Bug ID: 28746 Summary: Add OPAC equivalent for RestrictionBlockRenewing system preference Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Circulation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: andrew(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com The syspref RestrictionBlockRenewing determines whether or not a restriction prevents renewal of an item via the intranet. There is not currently a way to allow patrons to renew their own items via the OPAC when restricted. For libraries applying restrictions automatically via the overdues process, this can be overly restrictive. Some libraries would prefer to give patrons the option of renewing on the OPAC, thereby clearing their own restriction. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=15349 --- Comment #12 from David Cook <dcook(a)prosentient.com.au> --- I was just thinking about the native input type "email" but it looks like it doesn't accept "Library X <library@...>" either. Would we really want to support "Library X <library@...>" in all contexts or just system preferences and branch emails? If we supported it for users, it could stop SSO from working. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 7660] Enhanced messaging preferences are not set when creating a child patron from the adult
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 17 Jul '22

17 Jul '22

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=7660 --- Comment #8 from Emily W <emily.warwas(a)cedarparktexas.gov> --- (In reply to Nick Clemens from comment #6) > One thing to note here, if the messaging preferences are left blank, then > they are filled from the category on save > > To test: > 1 - In KTD set 'Juvenile' category to have some messaging preferences > 2 - Find a patron, say Edna Acosta, and 'Add guarantee' > 3 - In new form preferences are blank - fill out other fields and save > 4 - Save patron > 5 - Note messaging preferences match category defaults We've noticed that, but most of the juvenile cards we make we need to change the patron category, which auto fills everything in. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
