If enabled, when a new biblio is saved, the 001 and 003 fields of the marc record will be set to the koha biblionumber and value of the "MARCOrgCode" syspref respectively. I am thinking that we could edit koha/C4/Letters.pm adding $mail{smtp} = 'my.mail.server'; I am not sure how the settings are passed to Letters.pm however. What does everyone else think? When working with a union catalog this would be the best check to perform to make sure any real duplicates are found. Not sure if this needs to be optional. Bug 15248 asked about making the checks configurable, but I am not sure what a good syntax here could look like. However, this system preference has nothing to do with the Holds Queue (/view_holdsqueue.pl). Instead, this system preference controls behavior on the bib-level holds priority list (/request.pl). We should renamed the system preference and edit the description such that they accurately describe the behavior. It's confusing to use the term "queue" to refer to something different here.
