[Bug 24910] New: Make it possible to choose see also-authorities in authority finder
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 20 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=24910 Bug ID: 24910 Summary: Make it possible to choose see also-authorities in authority finder Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Cataloging Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl When searching for authorities, sometimes you may see the result you want to select in a see also, but it is not possible to *choose* that one. You have to do another search to get it into the results list of auth finder. Wouldnt it be nice if we could somehow add a link to choose them too? The current link allows you to open them, but this seems less useful at least in our case. Would a preference be useful to switch between choosing or opening ? Or should we add a small link? How could we address that best in terms of styling etc? Your feedback is appreciated ! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 28740] New: Delete old ILL requests with cleanup_database
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 19 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=28740 Bug ID: 28740 Summary: Delete old ILL requests with cleanup_database Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Command-line Utilities Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: andrew(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: robin(a)catalyst.net.nz, tomascohen(a)gmail.com We should teach cleanup_database to delete old ILL requests after a given period. Over in bug 23391, we introduced a syspref in which one can define statuses for which to hide ILL requests. Following that same idea of allowing whatever statuses a given back-end may use, the cron should take a number of days and a status and delete any request with that status that is more than that many days old. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 28071] New: Ability to batch remove titles from a list
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 19 Oct '26

19 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=28071 Bug ID: 28071 Summary: Ability to batch remove titles from a list Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: new feature Priority: P5 - low Component: Lists Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: severine.queune(a)bulac.fr QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl Sometimes, lists can have a quite large number of titles. With the export option, it's easy to work on this corpus, and, sometimes, find some titles we finally don't want in that list. If they are numerous, it's for now quite painful to find and delete them. A useful option could be, as it exists with the button "Add items", to be able to remove several titles at a time using barcode or biblionumber. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 22108] New: Items generated through MARCItemFieldsToOrder do not receive values applied in Item Information and Default Accounting Details
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 19 Oct '26

19 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=22108 Bug ID: 22108 Summary: Items generated through MARCItemFieldsToOrder do not receive values applied in Item Information and Default Accounting Details Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 18.05 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Acquisitions Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: andrew(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Target Milestone: --- When adding titles to a basket from a staged file (acqui/addorderiso2709.pl), item and fund choices can be applied item-by-item on the Select To Import tab or can be applied to all titles at once using the Item Information or Default Accounting Details tabs. However, if the library is using MARCItemFieldsToOrder to pull some of these values from vendor-supplied MARC files, Koha will ignore selections made on the Item Information or Default Accounting Details tabs. Nothing in the interface indicates that values selected on those tabs will not be used. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 32092] New: Improve circulation rules cache utilization
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 19 Oct '26

19 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=32092 Bug ID: 32092 Summary: Improve circulation rules cache utilization Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: glasklas(a)gmail.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Currently the cache is bypassed when fetching of circulation rules in a lot of places, calling get_effective_rule instead of get_effective_rule_value which makes use of in-memory cached. Additionally the case where the rule value is an empty string or undefined or no rule is found are not currently cached which results in the database is being queried repeatedly for cases where no results are found (which usually are the majority of calls). For example on the page where items are listed when placing a hold the current hit ratio for the cache in get_effective_rule_value is about 6%, with this patch we instead get a hit ratio of 99.8%, resulting in a whooping 340x less time spent performing the database lookup in get_effective_rule_value. With 150 items (we have serials with up to 1400 items), about 50% of the execution time is spent looking up rules which is practically reduced to zero when also caching empty results (and replacing the uncached direct calls to get_effective_rule with get_effective_rule_value). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 28183] New: retain patron-deleted suggestions
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 18 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=28183 Bug ID: 28183 Summary: retain patron-deleted suggestions Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 20.05 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Acquisitions Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: bwsdonna(a)gmail.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org In the purchase suggestions process, when a patron deletes their suggestion, the data is gone from all elements. For instance, a patron makes a purchase suggestion, the library orders the item and notifies the patron it has been ordered, if the patron then deletes the suggestion, there is no record/information for the library about who wanted it, etc. It is completely removed from the purchase suggestion process. This is information that libraries need to be able to view, even if it is only available via reports on deleted tables or something. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 19838] New: Add system preference for adding text to self registration form

At the moment there is only a system preference for the page that shows after submitting the registration form. It would be helpful to have another that shows on the self registration form itself. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 32748] New: Library limitations will cause data loss when editing items
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 16 Oct '26

16 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=32748 Bug ID: 32748 Summary: Library limitations will cause data loss when editing items Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P5 - low Component: Cataloging Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: katrin.fischer(a)bsz-bw.de QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl Moving this from bug 31422 where another issue was fixed to a new bug report: The library limitations are used to limit down the selection in pull downs in several spots. If you are editing data from library B while logged in at library A, doing so might result in data loss as the value stored in the modified object might be missing from the drop downs your user sees. Example 1: Item values Itemtype: BK Books - limited to Centerville AV LOC: FIC Fiction - limited to Centerville Your user: logged in for Centerville * Edit an item and make sure it uses the itemtype Books and location Fiction. * Switch library to any but Centerville. * Edit item: Both item type and location drow downs will be empty. * Saving now will empty out itemtype (if not set mandatory) and location resulting in data loss. I initially thought that bug 20256 might help here, but it won't as there is a mismatch of one feature checking the login library and the other checking the home library of the staff patron. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 30319] New: Patron self-modification values not retained if field blocked in PatronSelfRegistrationBorrowerUnwantedField
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 16 Oct '26

Somehow these two sysprefs are not being enforced distinctly. To test: 1 - turn on OPACPatronDetails 2 - confirm PatronSelfModificationBorrowerUnwantedField is blank, all fields allowed 3 - set PatronSelfRegistrationBorrowerUnwantedField to hide Title 4 - log into the opac, go to self mod (/cgi-bin/koha/opac-memberentry.pl), set a title (it is not hidden, which is correct), and save your updates 5 - go to the patron modification page in the staff interface (/cgi-bin/koha/members/members-update.pl), confirm your modification request is there but shows no changes 6 - update PatronSelfRegistrationBorrowerUnwantedField to allow title 7 - repeat step 4 8 - your new modification request shows a change to title -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
