This could also be used as the default in the patron card creator. Koha with ElasticSearch applies auto truncation for all search fields, not paying attention to these special cases when it should not be done. This leads to various problems as described in bug 26508, 26608, etc. The solution would be to prevent auto truncation for certain search fields, above all – the identifiers. It would be nice to be able to specify what a library would like as default in possibly a system preference- so it is more specific to their library. This is the age (in days) at which list share invites are purged from the database. If this parameter is not passed to the cleanup_database.pl cronjob then it defaults to 14. It would be nice to replace this cronjob parameter - which only users with server access can alter - with a system preference. This system preference would have a default value of 14 for new and upgrading Koha installs. It also would be nice to link those to the system preference of which languages the library currently has, as to not have them all listed.
