However, some libraries find it hard to manage these new registrations and would like to be alerted via email when a new patron self-registers. In the newest version of Koha, 19.05, this feature has been added for Purchase Suggestions, email library when new purchase suggestion is created. The "safe link" service will probe the link before redirecting the user, which means that if the registration is completed by the GET-request, the process is already done by the time the user loads the registration page. The user will then be greeted with an error message that declares that the registration process failed, although the account have actually been created. In general we should not make database modifications based on GET-requests. This is a departure from how koha worked in the past, is undocumented and could become a major problem for libraries keeping Continuing Resources local cover images, discarding years' work in an instance. When one uploads a cover for a specific issue, replace should work for only the cover(s) linked to that specific issue. The problem may also be related to issue cover images now appearing as alternate cover images for the biblio.
