The description under this choice is 'Ignore means that the subfield does not display in the record editor' Which is true, but it doesn't mention that the subfield is completely removed from the record. This can cause data loss. If you're not aware of this, the 'Ignore' description is a bit misleading. I always instruct system administrators to use the 'Editor' checkbox if they do not want to see a particular subfield in the editor, and use only 'Ignore' if they really want to flush that subfield completely. I think the description could be improved to add that values will be deleted from the subfield as well. It would be useful to be able to exclude specific itemtypes. This enhancement will add a checkbox 'Update not for loan status on check-in' to the administration item types page (Administration > Item types). We should also have same kind of syspref for check outs. This would be useful if for example library has item in exhibition with status "In exhibition, available for loan". This can be a privacy issue, since list names may contain things that are not meant to be public and are intended to been seen only by registered patrons. Also it is not useful anyway, as clicking on a list list name does not actually bring up that list and just shows the login form. In Spanish speaking countries, people usually have 2 surnames. When I create a new user, I write both surnames in the “surname” field and both given names in the “First name” field. If I enter the name or parts of it in the “checkout” search, without hitting Enter, I get a list of results where I can choose from. It used to be possible in previous versions to search for patrons using the first name and the second surname. Today I found that this is not possible anymore. For example, if there is a patron with the name “Carla María Ramírez Hernández”, I find her if I search with “Carla Ramírez”, but not if I search with “Carla Hernández”.
