Due to the workflow relating to Purchase Suggestions a suggestion is often passed to another member of staff for approval. Having an "internal notes" field which would be available throughout the suggestion process, would help to facilitate this communication. Staff are currently relying on coded text to communicate using the Notes field e.g. "Lot 1.1 1 X NCM-ML; 1 X NCSL-SL". I know that the most we could do is sort on the first callnumber available in the list, but I think this would still be helpful in some setups. If the syspref is turned on then it is recorded in the associated action log. The issuer should be directly recorded with the issue (in a new "issues.issuer" column) and then displayed in the patron's circulation history. Perhaps they want to look for the book, and they grab a piece of scratch paper and jot down the Call Number. Then they go looking for the book. Only they wrote down the Call Number for a different library, or didn't notice it was checked out, or they wrote the number down wrong. Now they have to start all over. Now imagine over on the right side of the record under the "Place a hold" link, there is a new link that says "Continue on your device" or something like that. They click the link, and a modal pops up with a QR code to this same page. They point their camera at it and their device goes to that same record, and they continue to the book.
