The system preference marcitemfieldstoorder, does not accept a barcode to be included in this system preference, so the library can not save the barcode of the item that they are receiving. In my experience almost nobody wants the non-digestible version and many patrons are annoyed when they are sent multiple notifications undigested. And less emails per recipient is good.
