Koha with ElasticSearch applies auto truncation for all search fields, not paying attention to these special cases when it should not be done. This leads to various problems as described in bug 26508, 26608, etc. The solution would be to prevent auto truncation for certain search fields, above all – the identifiers. In addition, under no circumstances should a search field other than of text type be truncated (an attempt to truncate would generate an exception from ElasticSearch, e.g. number_format_exception for integer). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. Other system preference that include 'Email' as part of their name don't have a capital m (such as KohaAdminEmailAddress - search for 'Email' in system preferences to find all occurrences). This is the age (in days) at which list share invites are purged from the database. If this parameter is not passed to the cleanup_database.pl cronjob then it defaults to 14. It would be nice to replace this cronjob parameter - which only users with server access can alter - with a system preference. This system preference would have a default value of 14 for new and upgrading Koha installs. It seems important to add the Guarantor field as mandatory, if the system preference, ChildNeedsGuarantor, is set to Must have Guarantor. At this time, if this sys pref is turned on to Must have guarantor, a new child patron can be created in Koha and only when attempting to save the form (without the guarantor), does it give an error.
