[Bug 18064] New: Long overdue cronjob does not follow the library' s calendar and skip closed days
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 23 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=18064 Bug ID: 18064 Summary: Long overdue cronjob does not follow the library's calendar and skip closed days Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 3.22 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Notices Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: jzairo(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org The cronjob that sets the Long overdue does not follow the library's calendar and skip closed days. However, the cronjob that sends the email (overdue notices) does follow the library's calendar. So as an example on a weekend where Monday is a holiday, the long over due may get set and chanrge the patrons account, but the email may be sent a day or 2 later. It would be good to allow the long overdue cron to follow the library calendar and skip closed days. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 39267] New: Specified due date remains for checkouts even when removing unchecking remember for session

If another checkout is done, removing the date and unchecking "remember for session", after the checkout has been performed, the previously set due date is still there. It's difficult to see how the correct behaviour shouldn't be that the date is cleared from the session as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 39631] New: longoverdue.pl does not consider OverdueNoticeCalendar when calculating overdue days
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 23 Oct '26

23 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=39631 Bug ID: 39631 Summary: longoverdue.pl does not consider OverdueNoticeCalendar when calculating overdue days Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Circulation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: hammat.wele(a)inlibro.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com When the system preference OverdueNoticeCalendar is activated, the script longoverdue.pl continues to calculate overdue duration using calendar days instead of working days. This creates a discrepancy with overdue_notices.pl, which correctly uses working days for triggering overdue notices when OverdueNoticeCalendar is enabled. As a result, items may be marked as lost by longoverdue.pl before the final configured overdue notice (e.g., ODUE3) has a chance to be sent. To test 1. Set the system preference OverdueNoticeCalendar to « ignore calendar » 2. Set the following preferences: DefaultLongOverdueLostValue = Long Overdue DefaultLongOverdueDays = 15 3. Define days when the library is closed 3.1. Go to Tools > Calendar 3.2. Click on a Saturday (e.g., 2025-04-12) Fill Description = Saturdays, Click on "Holiday repeated every same day of the week." and Click on Copy to all libraries and submit 3.3. Repeat step 3.2. by clicking on Sundays (e.g., 2025-04-13) similarly. 4. Checkout an item to a patron of category type Board, and set due date to 2025-03-29 (15 days before today). 4.1. Click on "Show checkouts", click the barcode, and note the itemnumber. 5. Run: ./misc/cronjobs/longoverdue.pl --> The item should be flagged as overdue (e.g., item 378 appears in the output). 6. Now Enable the system preference OverdueNoticeCalendar. 7. Run longoverdue.pl again: --> The item is still detected as overdue, even though it should not be (due to holidays). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 28884] New: ElasticSearch: Question mark in title search returns no results
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=28884 Bug ID: 28884 Summary: ElasticSearch: Question mark in title search returns no results Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 20.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Searching - Elasticsearch Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: jyorio(a)equinoxinitiative.org When searching for a title with a question mark, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? for example, Koha returns no results with ElasticSearch. Removing the question mark or escaping it retrieves results, as does enclosing the entire title with the question mark in quotes. Since ? is a wildcard for ElasticSearch, this may be expected behavior (I'm not sure that it is or isn't), but explaining to patrons that they need to change their search behavior can be a big ask for libraries. Not sure what the best option is. Perhaps a system preference to automatically escape ? and not treat it as a wildcard for those libraries who would prefer that? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 40932] New: Automated trigger for invoice closure
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Oct '26

22 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=40932 Bug ID: 40932 Summary: Automated trigger for invoice closure Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Acquisitions Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: hdunne-howrie(a)westminster.gov.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org We would like to see the ability to set a trigger for a series of actions that would close an invoice automatically without us manually going into the invoice and ticking close and saving. We want to see a workflow whereby once all items associated to an invoice, when they are all returned for the first time this would trigger a cron job to close the invoice. This would help us to automate our acquisitions checking processes. Currently a staff member has to run a report and check in with staff to make sure they have returned items and then they spend a considerable time checking through for each invoice to make sure items have been physically received and then closing the invoice. If we can automate this last step so that when all items are checked in for the first time, the invoice will automatically close. It would also be useful to have this automatic action as a cron job so that if something goes wrong we could interrupt the next run and correct. Also, the ability to reopen the invoice is also the other failsafe. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 41169] New: Cancelling order from a basket doesn't warn about removing items

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=41169 Bug ID: 41169 Summary: Cancelling order from a basket doesn't warn about removing items Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Acquisitions Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: mikko.liimatainen(a)turku.fi QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org When cancelling an order in a basket there is no warning about item deletion. This can be a problem if the item is already in circulation. If the items attached to the order can not be removed, this is given a notification as the order has been cancelled. When you are cancelling an order you get a confirmation page with this text: "Are you sure you want to cancel this order (45) Bibliographic record will not be deleted." I'd like there to be a mention that the items of this order will be deleted. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.
