Some of our libraries would like to see an enhancement that allows them to perform a batch deletion. They are currently a list of database field names selected by the module which the notice has been assigned to.. however not all notices actually pass all these tables into GetPreparedLetter and so not all variables are always supported and sometimes additional 'hidden' ones are available. We should clarify this and add support for TT variables at the same time. I believe we could/should do this within C4::Letters itself with a configuration block that lists accepted variables (tables, substitutions, loops etc) which can then be used both to construct the lists in the UI and also to check that the calls to GetPreparedLetter are indeed passing in the required/listed variables we list. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. The record would be staged correctly, but then an attempt to import it with C4::ImportBatch::BatchCommitRecords can generate an uncaught die of new_from_usmarc. A solution would be to make use of import_records.marcxml instead of import_records.marc for this step. In Koha::SearchEngine::Elasticsearch::marc_records_to_documents a following snippet has been introduced: my $usmarc_record = $record->as_usmarc(); #NOTE: Try to round-trip the record to prove it will work for retrieval after searching my $decoded_usmarc_record = MARC::Record->new_from_usmarc($usmarc_record); But if $record is oversized (> 99999 bytes), it is OK for MARC::Record object, but not for $record->as_usmarc. The produced ISO 2709 string is not correct and hence cannot be properly converted back to MARC::Record object by new_from_usmarc. The result in this case can be like: UTF-8 "\x85" does not map to Unicode at /usr/share/perl5/MARC/File/Encode.pm line 35. Since it is done without any eval / try, the whole reindex procedure (for instance rebuild_elasticsearch.pl) is being randomly interrupted with no explanation.
